… coz it is.
Of course, I’m referring to England getting knocked out the the 2014 World Cup, and yes I know that our involvement actually finished a whole week ago when Costa Rica beat Italy. It’s just that my England 2014 World Cup song has finally been released on iTunes…
Yes folks, Not The Official England 2014 World Cup Song has finally gone live on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and other online shops and streaming services. Typical me: I not only missed the start of the competition, I actually managed to miss the end!
It’s probably for the best, in a way. At least my song is not forever associated with England’s worst World Cup performance since 1958. And I can always reuse it in two years time, provided we actually manage to qualify for France Euro 2016.
Well, for what it’s worth, here’s a link to the track on iTunes Not The Official England 2014 World Cup Song should you wish to buy it… please!!! And for those of you too tight to part with a mere 79p or 99c, here’s a link to the track on Spotify Not The Official England 2014 World Cup Song
Oh, I bet you’re asking “why is the track credited to Joe Elephant, not Gary Stewart Smith?” Well, I must have had a feeling that the whole thing (the football, getting my song onto iTunes in time) was going to end in failure and didn’t want to tainted by association…
Maybe you need to bite someone to get this played?
