New year, new me, new look

Today I thought I’d spruce up my blog with a new look. Ooh, just take a look around! Look at all that lovely whitespace! So clean! So fresh!

On the home page, as you hopefully noticed if you arrived here via garystewartsmith.com, there’s a great big space to put a cool-looking picture (if you’ve come directly to this post via Twitter or Facebook, you won’t know what I’m blabbering on about – go check out the home page).

Unfortunately, in the tens of thousands of digital images I’ve accrued over the years, there are very few cool-looking pictures of me. I can count them on the fingers of one hand. In fact, I can count them on the fingers of one finger.

Resolution #10: get someone to take some cool-looking pictures of me.

  1. Yeah, I could do with a professional taking my shots, or at least someone who knows which end of an SLR to hold. My mate Simon took a reel of me and Sophie some years ago, in the early days of The Snags – they just had a certain quality that us mere snappers can’t get. Unfortunately, I’ve lost touch with him. Guess I’ll just have to have a bash myself…

    • The promoters demand up to date publicity on our circuit or you give off an amateur vibe. There’s a lot of competition and crap bands will get a look over just on the quality of their promo.
